If you haven't guessed already I'm talking about a THEME PARK!!!
Yes I love rides and a good adrenaline rush!
So a day at Thorpe Park is always a good day out.
However this experience was a little different than previous - lots of rain and my favourite ride was broken :(
But let's look on the bright side ...
We did get a little drenched, but I'm extremely organised and had our raincoats packed just in case, so although we got a bit soggy and shivery we were quite comfy in the rain :)
And we had good fun laughing at all the girls who were wearing their crop tops and short shorts and blokes in their tshirts ... A bit mean but you need something to keep you entertained in the queues.
Anyway - quite a few of the rides were broken down (Nemesis - which is my favourite) but that meant we could go on some of the smaller rides we might not usually get a chance to experience ... This was good fun and got our hearts beating fast and heads spinning a little.
Then we managed to tackle a few of the big thrills after a few lengthy queues (we took playing cards so didn't get restless and probably looked hilarious playing 'Go Fish' whilst waiting).
We had a great time screaming on Colossus with all it's loops and speed and The Swarm with it's brilliant set which has you ducking under everything that isn't actually going to hit you.
So even though there were a few things against us for the day we still managed to do just enough screaming and got the blood pumping :)
And to finish up for the day, we wasted lots of money trying to win a Pink Fluffy Unicorn from Despicable Me - I stood there excitably shouting "it's so fluffy I'm gonna die" and playing all the fair ground games (that never seem very fair) :)
So all in all it was a brilliant day and it got me to remember to 'always look on the bright side of life' - so just a little reminder to keep on smiling and just enjoy life even when things don't quite go your way, just laugh it off and have a good time!
Be happy and live life to the full!
