Yesterday I travelled down to Southampton for the day to visit one of my best friends, Alice!!
I got the train at 9.30am and the journey took an hour and a half!
Now I don't know about you, but I LOVE train journeys!!! They make me feel so happy :)
You can travel anywhere and not feel like you've wasted any time!
They are the most relaxing forms of transport! I love reading, listening to music and looking out of the window watching the countryside roll past!!! :)
So I spent my train journey doing just that - although the reading was in preparation for my PGCE so not as enjoyable as a good thriller!
I also felt very professional on the train as the majority of people were business people doing work - and reading my teaching stuff made me feel like one of them :)
When I arrived in Southampton, Alice was there to meet me! We wandered into the shopping centre and did not stop talking! We haven't seen each other alone for months and we had soooo much to catch up on - holidays, moving home, preparing for our PGCEs, partners, hard times, good times, friends and everything!
We decided to save the majority of our catching up for when we had lunch - so we strolled round the shops and looked for a dress for a wedding for Alice and I bought some tights and a spray with a voucher I had for my birthday!
Around 12pm we could both feel are tummies crying out for some food :P so we headed up to the top of the shopping centre - where all the restaurants were!
We had so much choice and no preference! So we went for a classic ... Pizza Hut!!! :)
We had the lunchtime buffet meal deal - unlimited pizza, pasta and salad! What more could you ask for - amazing!!! And only £7.50 each! :)
We spent the whole time talking and laughing :) It was brilliant!!!
We ended up talking about our love of tea and all things traditional British - being proper ladies :) and had to visit Costa before I headed home to fulfil our tea and coffee needs :P
I had a lovely day in Southampton!
Really enjoyed some quality time with one of the besties!
Had some yummy food, did a bit of cheeky shopping and enjoyed my love of tea! :)
That's now my last fun thing of the summer holidays - bring on the PGCE!!!
But don't worry there will still be lots of fun, dreams and happiness!
