This was my first time ever visiting the event and WOW!
We only went for the day, however I know a lot of people choose to camp for the weekend and I can understand why - there is sooooo much to do.
We parked up and walked down through the fields. In the distance we could hear fair ground rides and lots of music and fun. As we reached the event, we really did not know what to expect, but this was incredible.
There are so many rides, games, food stalls and many other things going on. We began by playing one of the games which we knew we had no hope of winning, but fair ground games are always fun and allow you to bring out your inner child. This was followed by a bargain buy of 5 gorgeous smelling perfumes for £20!
We then ventured over to the main arena and watched our first act of the day ... An RAF jet plane doing lots of tricks in the sky. It is unbelievable to see the way the RAF fly these planes and the training they must have to get to that skill level.
Following this we wandered through the BBC's World War One area - this was so educational and a brilliant insight into the war and what they had to deal with at the time.
After being cured of Tetnis and looking at the items of a World War One Army kit, we got our photo taken for our very own identification permit and went back to watch the acts.
The wing walker was sensational - how can you give this a go? If anyone has any ideas then let me know.
And the parachuter's were brilliant, although they made it look easy and I'm sure it won't be when I achieve my dream to skydive in a few weeks time.
Then there was the Mass Ascent of the Balloons ... This is absolutely beautiful!!!!
We stood for 2 hours watching as each Hot Air Balloon was set up and flown off into the distance.
My favourite was the Smurf Balloon!!!
It's funny how something so simple can be so fascinating to watch - but it really was a stunning sight!
This was how our day ended - looking out across Bristol, with numerous balloons of all different colours floating in the sky ... Wow!
Definitely an experience that brings a smile to your face - a memorable sight that brings about a true happiness!
